Chelsea were held into a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge by Leceister City to solidify their position 3 spot ahead of their final Premier League fixture against Watford. Chelsea only goal was scored by Marcos Alonso who was assisted by Reece James to cancel out James Maddison opener. Reece James has provided 9 assists and scored 6 goals this season so far despite missing most of the games due to injuries and his playing position as wing-back. Tuchel brought on Cezar Azipilicueta, Loftus Cheek & Kai Havertz in the second half as substitutes for Pulisic, Kante & Lukaku but could not get the winner.
Tuchel hailed Ngolo Kante as Chelsea key player despite the substitution and has to be in the pitch as he is their Mo Salah, Van Dijk & Kylian Mbappe due to his versitility and ability to play well in every position. Chelsea fans however hailed Reece James for his contribution against Leceister City where he provided an assist, created 5 chances, racked 4 shots on target & dominated ball possesdions on the right flink.
