After Willian signed for Arsenal on a free transfer over the summer transfer window from Chelsea, Arsenal fans thought they had been gifted a free gem as the 33 years old Brazilian was among the best players at the Stamford bridge. Willian managed to star during his debut game against Fulham where he notched a couple of assists and wrecked the opponent's defense.
However, he has completely changed thereafter as Mikel Arteta now prefers Nicholas Pepe over him. Out of the 35 games he has played as an Arsenal player, Willian has not scored any goal while he has provided three assists only.
This poor run of form has worried the Arsenal hierarchy who seem to have given up on the Brazilian who was previously on Barcelona's radar.
He was accused by Arsenal's legend Tonny Cascarino on the Times podcast that he was playing against his team in their recent match. Tonny was quoted telling the Times podcast that, "Willian was Aston Villa’s best player after he came for Arsenal on Saturday."
However, a newly released video shows that his teammates especially Alexander Lacazette and Nicholas Pepe have failed to score from the created chances he has made for the club, thus making him look to be out of form.
Take a look at the video showing he's been let down by his teammates;
Is he trying to use his teammates as a scapegoat while he is underperforming?
