Jude Bellingham has avoided a suspension but has been hit with a £34,000 fine for accusing a referee of match-fixing.
Robert Lewandowski converted the penalty to make it 2-3. But this left the England midfielder furious and after the match on a post-match interview, He accused the referee of match-fixing. He defended Mats Hummel's handball by saying it was in a 50 50 situation and it was a ball to hand. The German police confirmed that they were investigating his remarks as the DFL control Committee wrote to Bellingham to comment on his statements as soon as possible and now they have announced the punishment.
Borussia Dortmund as today confirmed that Bellingham has been fined £34,000 and has not been banned from any game. This will make Bellingham able to play on the coming Saturday against Vfl Bochum.
