Gor Mahia forward striker Nicholas Kipkurui after agreeing to join premier league side Ulinzi Stars. Nicholas Kipkirui is expected to leave Gor Mahia this season after spending four years at Gor Mahia since he left Zoo Kericho on on 2018. Kipkirui wrote on his Facebook account to forward a farewell bid to his teammates.
"Goodbyes are never easy to say but the time has come for me to say it," Kipkiruii wrote on his Facebook page. "After a successful and bittersweet two and a half year journey, my time at Gor Mahia has come to an end.
Kipkirui has faced stiff competition from Charles Ulimwengu who was signed together with Omala. Kipkirui Nicholas failed to surpass him in the pitch and he has seen himself lining on the bench. Kipkirui seeks a move to quit Gor Mahia so that he can get enough playing time. His next team Ulinzi don't have a reliable and consistent striker therefore Nicholas could realize his dream to the full potential with them.
Nicholas has thanked Vaz Pinto, Ambrose Rachier who signed him from Zoo and his former coach Hassan Oktay. He has also thanked his teammates for the support they granted him while together and he has also thanked his fans for their unwavering support.
Gor Mahia has been struggling under Vaz Pinto Manuel , a Portuguese tactician and they have lost six of their last matches including KCB and Posta Rangers. Ochieng and Muguna are currently used as main strikers.
