Manchester city defeated the Blues yesterday at Stamford Bridge to end their unbeaten away run this season. The Blues had kicked off this season with a good pace after winning five matches and drew once before their Clash against the Cityzens.
Pep Guardiola men on the other hand opened the season with a defeat after losing to 1-0 to Tottenham. Since that defeat, they've never lost any match defeating top clubs like Arsenal and The Blues. Their victory yesterday proved they are fully prepared to defend their title this season.
The only real that is a big threat to their title race is Manchester United. The Red Devils are currently on top form despite their yesterday's defeat at Old Trafford against Aston Villa.
The Red Devils are currently having one of the best squad in the world. They've reinforced all their weaknesses after they brought in Sancho, Ronaldo and Varane. These new signings have added some depth in their squad as compared to last season where they had struggled with their defence and attack.
Last season, in the first five matches, they had seven points after losing thrice against Aston Villa, Tottenham and Crystal Palace. They ended up performing so well which made them to reach on top of the table for the first time since the departure of Alex Ferguson. They finished the league position two after slipping along the way where their neighbors Manchester city took that chance and overtake them.
This season, the red devils are far better than last season after grabbing 13 points in their last five matches. They also have new signings like Ronaldo who is know to be a goal machine after breaking numerous goal records.
This now means, that Manchester united are now a big threat to their old rivals Manchester city in the title race this season.
