Messi Held this Record for 24 hours Only before Cristiano Ronaldo broke it

Cristiano Ronaldo was the saviour once again as Manchester United came from two goals down to win 3-2 at over Italian side Atalanta at Old Trafford.

Man United were trailing 2-0 at half-time to Atalanta, and fans booed the players off the pitch. United produced a spirited, uplifting second-half comeback to seal an unlikely victory, courtesy of goals from Marcus Rashford, Harry Maguire and Ronaldo.

Cristiano Ronaldo reclaimed his bragging rights over his close rival, Lionel Messi after his well timed header found the back of the net. Ronaldo aready holds the record of the most goals scored in the Champions League. Messi netted two goals against LB Leipzig to equal Ronaldo's record of 38 teams scored aganist. He was on level terms for just 24 hours as Cristiano Ronaldo took the record higher with his 81st minute goal.

Ronaldo now holds the record of the most teams scored aganist in the history of the Champions League football.
