The 'Machine Gun' in AFC Leopards title quest

AFC Leopards has been the better team compared to many teams in the current Betking Premier League campaign. 29 points and sitting 3rd, 6 points from league leaders with 2 games at hand, Leopards have unleashed their claws.

Ingwe's fortune may be credited to many things but their better investment and recruitment has helped them. Of this their new coach, Aussems and Elvis Rupia have been the breath of fresh air in their pursuit for the elusive league title.

Ingwe signed Rupia early 2020 on a 6 months deal, a deal they extended for a year when the initial deal ended and looking back at the deal Ingwe cannot regret. Rupia's form infront of goal this season has been great, he already has 11 goals in 15 games, 5 goals short of the leading top scorer Kapaito.

At only 26 Rupia brought experience to the Leopards squad. Experience he got from his time playing for Muhoroni youth, Nzoia Sugar and Wazito. Before joining Ingwe Rupia's form was not that great but his determination has guided him to being one of the best strikers Kenya has. While at Leopards Rupia has also managed to feature for Harambee Stars, an opportunity he did not take lightly as he scored in his first appearance against South Sudan.

The 2021 AFC Leopards would not be where they are without Rupia and if the rumors are true he is going to be offered a nice lucrative deal for his services. 22 years later Rupia is the machine gun that Ingwe were missing in their previous battles. With the league about to resume if Rupia continues with his form then AFC Leopards will be the team to watch.
