
The curtains have sadly closed on one of the greatest footballers of all time.

Pele, three times world champion not only revolutionized football, but also inspired the future generation of footballers in the likes of Neymar Jr, Messi, Mbappe and others.

In their tribute to the Brazilian, ESPN have penned a message which describes that the Brazil and PSG star, Neymar Jr may not have existed without Pele's inspirations to football.

In the statement, Neymar has expressed his gratitude to the star for his immense contribution to the growth of soccer, both in Brazil and across the world. He has sent his heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the late Pele.
