Manchester United have been unable to ensure consistency in keeping cleansheets this season. First choice goalkeeper David Degea has been not impressive enough this season despite showcasing the best perfomances in the previous years.
Degea has been lately linked with a move out of Old Trafford with several top clubs interested in signing him. However, despite Degea's perfomances being unimpressive,United fully understand that they need to reinforce their backline.
Manchester United lost in the race to sign French defender Dayot Upamecano after Bayern Munich reached agreement with Leipzig. Reports from Old Trafford indicate that the red devils have Sevilla's center back Jules Kounde in their radar.
Kounde has been impressive with the Spanish club and has attracted interests from various clubs. United have been handed a big boost in their move for Kounde after the club reduced the player's price tag. Reports indicate that Sevilla have reduced the player's release clause to around fifty million Euros.
