The Toffees equalized in the 65th minute through Andros Townsend after being assisted by Doucare to seal a 1-1 draw. Manchester United struggled to score the winner in the second half with Everton defence remaining stronger to seal a vital point. Following the 1-1 draw, Man United climbed up to position 2 in the Premier League table with 14 points while Everton moved to position 3 in the EPL Table with 14 points.
