Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham all got beaten yesternight in the first round of the Carabao cup. The Carabao cup presents chance of silverware alongside the EPL trophy. Chelsea faced an averagely tougher opponent as compared to the other two, in Manchester City. ManCity has had a history of winning the trophy back to back in the last five seasons.
Arsenal took the lead first at home after an Eddie Nketiah strike in the first half. Brighton would later equalize from the penalty spot. Second half was majorly dominated by Brighton who brought in their first team and it paid off, they won. Thus means Arsenal has a chance at the FA cup, EPL where they are the league leader's and the Europa league.
Tottenham lost to Nottingham Forest away from home, despite starting their strongest side. They also still have a chance of silverware elsewhere. Chelsea as well was beaten 2:0 by Manchester City who were at home. Painful first round exit for the Londoners.
