
The long awaited day by Kenyan football fans for the arrival of the FIFA trophy is here. The world cup trophy landed at Jomo Kenyatta International airport some minutes after twelve noon accompanied by the famous Brazilian defender Juliano Belleti.
Cabinet secretary of sports Amina Mohammed accompanied by other cabinet secretaries recieved the trophy where they were allowed to pose besides it even after being enclosed. Among the cabinet secretaries was Nairobi Governor Ann Kananu. After the session the trophy was taken to state house where the president awaited it.
President Uhuru and the FIFA champions are the only individuals allowed to touch the trophy. The trophy is then to be stored under tight security since it contains a great percentage of gold.
It will then be kept at Kenya international conference center on twenty seventh of May starting from 8am for the fans to view and take the pictures.
The trophy had been in Ethiopia for other two days. Kenya got the privilege to receive the trophy even after being banned by the FIFA coalition.
