Congratulations Team Kenya: This Is How World Medal Standing Looks After Kenya Wins Its First Gold

Team Kenya in Tokyo Olympics today have won the first gold. Kenya is now position 38 after winning the first gold.

This is how the world medal standings looks after Kenya won a gold and a silver in today's competition.

Emmanuel Korir finished position one winning a gold by clocking 1:45.06, Ferguson Rotich came second winning a silver for Kenya. It was a one and two effort in the 800m men race.

In the earlier competition Kenya's Hyvin Kiyeng took position three in the 3000m women SC finals winning a second bronze for Kenya.

Kenya have another chance of winning a gold because Faith Kipyegon made it easy to finals in the 1500m women race clocking 3:56.80.

Kenya now has a total of 5 medals, one gold, two silvers and two bronze. Kenya now leads the table as a best African country followed by South Africa which is currently at position 39, Ethiopia is number three in Africa.
