The Kenya national team has had a series of bad results since the start of the competitions aimed at securing a position to represent Kenya in the world best competitions. Harambee stars were placed in what was seen as an easy group for them. Alongside countries like, Uganda, Rwanda and Mali Kenya was seen as the best team to proceed. But the team continous bad results have made them exit the competition and will be playing for formality unless a miracle happens , where they would be picked as the best looser in the next round.
Their group stage previous results include a draw against Uganda in Kasarani, the game has not been played in Uganda. Another draw against Rwanda in Kigali a rematch is yet to be played. And last a 5-0 defeat in Morocco by Mali and another 1-0 defeat by Mali in Nyayo Nairobi.
The hopes for the team as it exit the race is to see the team organized to post best results in future. The world cup will be played in Qatar next year.
