Located in Ekisumo, Nambale Sub County in Busia county, Victor Wanyama academy is a sports narturing site which is coming up as one of the entailments for Victor Wanyama foundation which has too sponsored lots of students to Secondary schools.The project which is funded by former Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama is taking a good shape as seen in the photo below.
Wanyama in a recent meeting with Busia county Governor Sospeter Ojaamong stated that the academy will be starting it's operations soon and that it will start with football before the incorporation of other sports disciplines.In the same meeting, the county government of Busia through the Governor promised to support the project which is lying on a 21 acre piece of land.
The academy is expected to house three fields, one ministadium and hostels.According to Wanyama the academy will be working towards producing some of the best footballers in the country and it is his hope that one day the academy will produce a club which will remain dominant in the FKF Premier League.
