The English Premier League takes a 6 week break as players head to Qatar for the FIFA World Cup. Players will be seeking glory for their national sides and for themselves. The English Premier League leaders Arsenal have a five point lead over second placed Manchester City. Arsenal won by two goals to nil to take the lead in the standings. Manchester City who have been closing in on arsenal lost their weekend match against Brentford thanks to an Ivan Toney late goal to give his side all three points. 
Chelsea lost their third consecutive match, first losing to Brighton Hove Albion, then to Arsenal and most recently to Newcastle United who sit third in the league table. They are in good form this season and have managed to grab all important victories giving them the top four spot. Manchester United won in the weekend against Fulham by a late goal from United, they won by two goals to one.
