Mourinho Names The Chelsea Player He Wishes Played For Tottenham And Improve Their Defense

Jose Mourinho is currently fighting to save his job which is at stake at Tottenham. Apparently, Tottenham have been eliminated from Europa League and are trailing in the Premier League table. The manager has the chance of redeeming his job in the Carabao Cup final. The Portuguese manager claims that the team is not ready to win trophies. He has slammed the deep negative mentality which is rooted amongst his squad. He has critically challenged them to step up their performance and show resilience in Cup competitions. The abysmal performance has prompted him to give praise to some other players from different clubs. He is however not worried about his future at Tottenham since he is focused on helping the players get results.

Mourinho has blatantly praised Antonio Rudiger for his work ethic in the Chelsea defense. Mourinho stated that he wishes he had Rudiger in his team to reinforce his weak backline. He lamented that the current Tottenham defense are the reason they were eliminated from Europa League. He further added that Tottenham have shipped in too many cheap goals from poor defending. He then said that he admires the agility in Rudiger that enables him to face strikers with no fear. Mourinho expressed his desire to have the Germany defender in his team. The future of Rudiger however lies with Chelsea since talks on new contract are yet to start.
