It's officially confirmed, Kalvin Phillips joins Manchester City on permanent deal from Leeds United for £42m fee plus add-ons. Contract until June 2028, six year deal. Huge signing as he only wanted to play under Pep Guardiola. Darko Gyabi joins has joined Leeds from Manchester City as part of the deal.
Speaking about his new club, Kalvin Phillips opened up on having joined one of the best club in the world and expressed how lucky and happy he is. 'So proud to join one of the best clubs in the world. Can’t wait to keep on challenging myself and learn from the best along the way' he wrote.
Phillips also opened up on his interest to play under Pep Guardiola in his football career. He has been following his successful football managerial career and wished to be part of his team one day. 'I loved Pep successful coaching career and wished to play with him one day. He is a good manager and we have been talking about the team and am sure I will get new challenge here'
