In the second half Chelsea showed some desire to win the tie and after just 10 minutes Timo Werner busted forward and squared a lovely pass to Hakim Ziyech who made no mistake to fire the ball into the empty net. That goal proved decisive as Chelsea hang on it to make it to the finals.
They now await the winner between Leicester and Southampton who will e playing on Sunday in another mouth watering semi Final.
Chelsea will be hunting Their ninth trophy after it evaded them last year when they were beaten by Arsenal.
Under Thomas Tuchel Chelsea have played 19 matches and kept 14 clean sheets, and in the process they have beaten Tottenham, Atletico twice, Liverpool, Man city, Everton etc. They are battling to finish in top four in premier this season, booked a final in FA and they are also in Semi Final in UCL.
