Good news for harambee stars ahead of World Cup qualifiers.
Kenya national football team harambee stars has been under speculations on whether it will participate in the world cup qualifiers or not. This is because the football Kenya federation has been sued to court by the former harambee stars coach Adel Amrouche .
The tactician took Kenya to the Africa cup of nations in Egypt securing one win against Tanzania. However, the Belgiun left his position unceremoniously after his contract was terminated by football Kenya federation.
Amrouche had to seek his rights in the court of arbitration. He won the case against football Kenya federation and was entitled to a sixty million Kenya shillings.
It was a big blow for the National Team since the federation could have a rough time to raise such an amount of money. Failure to pay could lead to banning the team from international participation.
According to reports, football Kenya federation president Nick Mwendwa confirmed that they had cleared with Amrouche and the team will have to participate in the world cup qualifiers. Confirming to Tiktaka interview, Mwendwa disclosed that they had left Amrouche's case with world football governing body FIFA to clear his dues since they were owing the federation some money.
If that is the case, Kenya will have to face Uganda, Mali and Burundi before securing a date in the knockout stages of the world cup qualifiers.
We wish the team success. For more news updates, tap on the follow link on the top right corner.
