Gabriel Jesus has already proved to be a great boast for Arsenal come next season which is almost starting. The preseason has been a lit for the former City striker, scoring seven goals in the pre season matches. The climax of the scoring being the hatrick he just recorded when Arsenal punished Sevilla in North London.
Since is arrival he has scored in all matches he played with an exception of Orlando. His performance against the other teams are as follows:-
Two goals against Nuremberg
A goal against Everton
A goal against Chelsea
Three goals against Sevilla
It was his first hatrick since he landed at North London. It only took him two minutes to have a brace.
The perfect positioning of this finisher has made him take advantage of available playmakers like the newly appointed captain Martin Odegaard.
The combination of the two has already proved to be one of the best to watch as the season begins.
It's definitely that Arsenal have maintained their standards regarding the team striker. Arsenal have in the past seasons played with a potential 9 who has always helped the club performance. The previous strikers who have held the club respect at this position include the following:
Nwanko Kanu
Thierry Henry (many analyst belief his shoes have never been replaced to date)
Adebayor
Van Persie: Another king of scores. Despite him making unexpected move to Manchester United which irritated most of the funs, he deserves respect in the club.
Aubameyang: The crisis that was their before the coming of Jesus was caused by the departure of Aubameyang who had started loosing his touch in the Arsenal shirt.
Jesus is going to add his name on this list if at all he will maintain the standards displayed in the preseason matches.
Arsenal also have a history of bringing in players who at first highly only to disappoint as the real matches that matter started. It is the hope of every Arsenal fun that Jesus will not perform like or below the following:-
Frimpong
Asharvin
Sanogo
Alex Hleb
Chamakh
Joel Campbell
Davor Sucker: The legend of Croatia in 1998 World Cup but did not met fan's expectations at Arsenal.
However the good news is the entire front line of Arsenal gives the fans hope for a title. The bonding is really working. A good example was seen on the great team work between Martinelli and Nketiah on the sixth goal against Sevilla. Martinelli was on a counter attack and one on one with the keeper he could have scored but he instead played a nice ball to Nketiah for an easy score.
The players have been playing together and the way Jesus has just fit-in is a good suggestion and a big hope for more goals and more wins.
