Nottingham vs Manchester United.
Nottingham Forest’s return to the top flight has come along with a fairy tale run in the Carabao Cup. They have put big names to the sword including Tottenham and Wolves and now face their toughest test yet as they bid to get to the final. Forest come into this on the back of an unbeaten 4 game run in the league, with their last defeat in the league actually coming at the hands of Man United back on 27th December. They will be hoping to put up a batter fight here.
Manchester United on their part will train their guns on this competition to try and assuage the bitter 2-1 loss they suffered at the hands of league leaders Arsenal at the weekend, which put paid to rest any lingering hopes of a late title surge, having fallen 11 points behind them who still have a game in hand. They have been stellar in this cup though and dispatched opponents with ease all through. Ten Hag fielded a strong lineup against Charlton in the semifinal and the same can be expected here.
We expect a tough start to this game with Nottingham keen not to open themselves too much. However as time goes by and legs get weary, the game should open up more. We are therefore backing the 2nd half of this game to have more goals than the first.
Predictions: Most Goals – 2nd Half.
