Arsenal Midfielder Elneny Refused to Play Against Kenya

Mohammed Elneny is a 28 years old arsenal Egyptian midfielder. He was signed by Arsenal manager Wenger on 13 Jan 2013 after a 3-3 draw against Liverpool from Basel. Elneny is reported to have refused to play against kenya during the recent Kenya during the recent 2021 Africa cup of nations qualification match in Nairobi.

He was supposed to play against Harambee stars in a match that ended 1-1 at the Moi international sports centre Kasarani. He was not choose to start the match by the coach Hossam and remainder glued on the beach. Although he was supposed to join the team on the second half.

According to the Ahmed Abdelbaset, journalist specialist in the Egyptian football association (FA) and the national team news claimed that Elneny's ''rebelious' behaviours was the reason he didn't take part.

He was offered a chance to play but he choose not to warm up during the half time where he was going to be subbed up in the second half of the game.
