Thomas Tuchel was forced to replace N' Golo Kante 32nd minute of the first half due to injury concerns. But in the post-match conference, Tuchel said that he hopes that Kante did get any serious injury. Mateo Kovacic replaced him, Kovacic had not featured for the Blues from 10 April due to a hamstring injury.
Tuchel can’t afford to lose Kante in the main match of the season against Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League. Kante played a very important in the semi-finals to knock real Madrid out of the Champions League and proceed to the finals. Chelsea now is in the third position after beating Leicester City 2-1 on Tuesday night. Now they just need to win the last match against Aston Villa to finish among the top four this season.
In other news, Manchester United cemented the second position in the premier league table after their draw against Fulham yesterday. Liverpool today will have a chance to move to the 4th position if they win against Burnley tonight.
