The 30-man shortlist for the 2021 Ballon D'Or award has been released by France Football and had caused a lot of varied reactions on social media.
There have been different reactions online after Chelsea goalkeeper Eduardo Mendy and Senegal and Liverpool forward Sadio Mane did not make the top 30. Eduardo Mendy had helped Chelsea lift the UEFA Champions League and Super Cup but failed to make it to the top 30. Sadio Mane was also not on the list despite being one of the key players for Liverpool last season.
Here are some reactions online after the list was released.
Big football names like Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappe, Mohammed Salah, Jorginho, Kante, Lewandowski, Neymar, and many others are all on the list.
Lionel Messi who was the last person to win the prestigious award is tipped as the favorite to win the award but will face stiff competition from Lewandowski and Jorginho who have had a wonderful year.
Do you think Eduardo Mendy and Sadio Mane should have been on the list?
