In their pursuit of a dependable winger, Arsenal were brave enough to approach West Ham for their daring winger, Jarrod Bowen, a few weeks ago. West Ham may have turned down Arsenal's advances, but according to Football Fan Cast, by the end of this transfer window, Arteta could have his own Jarrod Bowen.
For days, all indications have pointed to Arsenal making a bid for Villarreal's Yeremy Pino. In his latest update on Arsenal's quest to sign Pino, Fabrizio Romano, a European transfer guru, has said, "No proposals have been made yet to Villarreal, who would like more than €50m for their young star; it will not be an easy negotiation."
Even though Romano confirms that it would be hard to convince Villarreal to let the forward leave, the existence of an asking price suggests that a deal is possible, in contrast to the move for Bowen, for which West Ham never even revealed a price.
Last season, the 19-year-old scored six goals in 31 La Liga appearances for Villarreal. He may be six league goals short of Bowen's total from last season, but he certainly has promise. Arteta may have failed to sign Bowen, but the four-cap Spain international can serve as his alternative.
