Chelsea records this season have been absolutely incredible despite a setback of frequent injuries picked up by some first team stars. Ng'olo Kante, Mason Mount, Reece James and Antonio Rudiger have all had injury issues that ruled then out of some Blues battles. Christian Pulisic is the longest victim as he still remains out.
The Blues misfortunes continues as Belgian prolific forward Romelu Lukaku and German machine team player Timo Werner were forced out the Malmo Champions League midweek clash due to fitness concerns. The two will now miss out for the next Blues few days and are likely to be missing Saturday's home EPL match against Norwich, Tuchel confirmed.
However, this happens for any team hence Tuchel should be prepared to make correct replacements for the two as we have seen them partner in first forwards selection in recent Blues matches. Here is a proposed strong lineup for Chelsea's Saturday game.
Goalkeeper: Not so much talks about this position as Senegalese Edouard Mendy send a message though his heroic saves in the West London Derby. Mendy is therefore in good shape and very reliable to start in this weekend.
Defenders: A backline of a centre back trio comprising of Antonio Rudiger, Thiago Silva and Trevor Chalobah could be the right selection for this battle. Andres Christensen is in good condition but we are used to Tuchel's players rotation norm hence there is a chance to see the Denmark star rest in this battle.
Midfielders: A congested and strong pick of 4 comprising of Ng'olo Kante, Jorginho, Reece James and Ben Chilwell. Captain Cezar Azplicuetta has been involved in many consecutive matches hence should be started on the bench as James fitness is tested.
Forwards: This is the most disadvantaged part as Romelu Lukaku, Timo Werner and Pulisic will be unavailable for selection. However there will be a perfect replacement provided the right decisions are made by the German tactician.
A front three partnering Mason Mount, Kai Havertz and Callum Hudson Odoi will be much reliable for goals hunting and are energetic, creative and ready to hit a mark to proof their capabilities.
Full squad: Mendy, Silva, Rudiger, Chalobah, Reece James, Chilwell, Jorginho, Kante, Hudson-Odoi, Mount, Havertz.
What is your thoughts on this lineup? Can it help grab all three points from Norwich to keep assure a Chelsea a longer stay on top of the table and keep the EPL title winning hopes active? Have your say by dropping comments below.
