Osimhen's AFCON Replacement, Peter Olayinka Has All It Takes To Give A Good Performance In Cameroon

Peter Olayinka was invited to the 28 man AFCON squad of the Super Eagles, after it became clear that, Victor Osimhen would be unavailable for the tournament.

Peter Olayinka Oladeji is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Slavia Prague, in the Fortuna Liga.

Following the fact that, fans have been closely monitoring Olanyika's displays in Slavia Prague for the past 3 seasons, they have no doubt to believe in his performance.

Back in 2019, the 26-year-old Olayinka had a spell with the Super Eagles of Nigeria, during a friendly game against Brazil and was never given another opportunity by the then manager, Gernot Rohr.

The energetic Olanyika, has over the past few years shown through his club engagements, what he is capable of doing.

Olayinka is a versatile forward with a terrific pace and a long range shooting and could play on either side of the wings and also as a top striker.

Like Osimhen, Olayinka possesses that energy and resilience that could put the opposing defenders at their back feet, whenever he is with the ball.

Absolutely, none of the fans would like to miss Osimhen performing in Cameroon.

It should not be forgotten how Olayinka single handedly tore apart the defence of Lionel Messi-led Barcelona, during their second-leg UEFA Champions League quarter-final game, at Camp Nou in 2019.

All the best Peter Olanyika.
