Solsjaker disapproves his detractors with four audacious tactical decisions that earned him 3 points

Manchester United had a tough game against West Ham but eventually managed to win the match with Jesse Lingard's 89th goal and Degea's added time penalty save crowning Ronaldo's 35th minute goal to help United have a perfect 2-1 comeback win. There were many key decisions made by Ole that led to that win, but what were the key brave decisions that earned him the win?

Getting it right with his Substitutions.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer received a lot of flak for his substitutions in the Champions League match against Young Boys, and if he made them again today, he'd be in big trouble with United fans. His substitutions today were perfect. They stabilized the game and, apart from that, his super sub, Jesse Lingard, scored the winning goal.

Trusting Lingard and giving him a redemption chance.

Having played for West Ham last season, Lingard was the best man to bring in when United were finding it hard to break West Ham. Introduced in the 73rd minute, Lingard scored one of his best United goals in the 89th minute, justifying how right Ole was to introduce him.

Dropping Sancho to shield him from public scrutiny.

Sancho had only played five games for Manchester United prior to the West Ham match, and he had yet to make a goal contribution, either as an assist or as a scorer. If he was to start the game and things went south for United, the spotlight was not going to still be on Ronaldo; instead, Sancho would be the one targeted. Although Sancho has not clicked, he is lucky to have Ole as a manager, a manager known for his good man-management skills.

Trusting in De Gea pays off.

Ole had a tricky decision this season to choose between Henderson and De Gea as his number one. Henderson's absence made the decision for him but many believe that Ole would still put his faith on De Gea as he has always fronted him as the best of the best. Well, De Gea's last minute save ensured United safely won the match, and evidently, with the way things are going, De Gea is the goalkeeper to win Ole his first Premier league title.
