From two goals behind at the break, United pulled of a classic comeback to beat the Italian outfit. Marcus Rashford scored to half the deficit in the 53rd minute before Harry Maguire scored an equaliser with 15 minutes left to play.
Ronaldo broke the tense feeling in the air at 82nd minute where Ronaldo Rose to the highest to meet Luke Shaw's header to make it 3-2. Since rejoining United, the 36 year old has found the back of the net three times with three from European completions and three from premier league.
