WWE Wrestler Who Intentionally Killed His Son After Performing WWE Finisher On Him At Home

Chris Benoit is a difficult name to bring up in conversation.

The tragic incident in June 2007 irreparably tarnished the family name, despite the fact that many admirers will remember him as one of the top performers of his generation—possibly the best ever.

Chris Benoit, a 40-year-old World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) professional wrestler from France-Canada who lived in Fayetteville, Georgia, killed his wife Nancy and their 7-year-old son Daniel over the course of three days on June 22–24, 2007, before hanging himself.

He used a chokehold akin to his WWE finishing move, the "Crippler Crossface," on his kid, according to the police, asphyxiating both his wife and his son.

Benoit's brain displayed serious damage and concussions, according to an ABC News piece from 2009. His brain's condition is very similar to that of Aaron Hernandez, the NFL player who had the worst case of CTE ever discovered in a person his age and who served a life sentence in prison before committing suicide there.
