It has been confirmed that a former Manchester United player has faced relegation as a manager from the English Championship League.
After loosing 1-0 to QPR, Derby plummeted to 23rd place of the league table with 31 points, 10 points behind Reading just above the dreaded zone at a safe 21st place. Derby have faced relegation with 3 remaining matches to reach the climax of the season.
Wayne Rooney has failed to meet his expectations as a manager this season. Deduction of 21 points earlier in the campaign was one of the reasons why his side failed to cement their position in the Championship League.
The English manager has expressed his intentions of remaining in the club which will be playing in the League One next season assuming that the owners keep him.
This is the first time Wayne Rooney has faced relegation in his managerial career. He will be looking forward to bounce back to fruitful ways if he stays at Derby next term.
