Goodnews As Harambee Stars Striker Finally Marks His Much Awaited League Debut In Europe

Over the weekend, a number of Kenyan footballers were in action across different foreign leagues.One of this footballers is Henry Meja who finally marked his Swedish top flight league (Allsvenskan) debut as his club AIK settled for a 1-1 draw with Degerfors in an entertaining match played on Saturday night.

Initially, Meja who had marked some appearances with the club at the league cup as well as in the preseason friendly matches but not at the Allsvenskan league level.He was introduced in the 86th minute and had only four minutes of game time in his league debut.

Degerfors opened the scoring in the 13th minute through Nikola Djurdjic who was assisted by Rasmus Orqvist.Meja's AIK responded in the 44th minute through Amar Abdiraham.The other Kenyan duo of Erick Ouma Otieno and Collins Sinchenje did not feature in the match as Ouma is currently under suspension following his accumulation of a total of five yellow cards while Sinchenje remained at the bench as unused substitute.
