The embattled leader of the Football Kenya Federation was whisked away as he made his way to the Harambee Stars training base.
Mwendwa is in serious trouble with authorities following his inability to account for funds received by the Football Kenya Federation for the proper running of Kenyan Football.
On Thursday Nov 11, Sports CS Amina Mohamed disbanded the federation and appointed a caretaker committee to aid in the running of Kenyan Football.
Mwendwa however maintained he was incharge hereby ignoring the Government's directive to step aside and allow for investigations to continue.
The committee has suspended the Kenyan top leagues to allow for a smoother transition of operations and time to plan a way forward in the running of the Kenyan football scene. The suspended leagues are the Kenyan Premier League, The National Super League, FKF Division One League, FKF Women's Premier League and The FKF Women's Division One League.
It is not yet clear what will happen to Mwendwa after his arrest but things do not look good for him...
