With only two weeks to the Mashujaa day celebrations, preparations at this years host stadium have continued to progress ahead of the event.From an inspection done by Interior Principal Secretary and the Chairperson of the celebrations preparation committee Karanja Kibicho, it is well evident that the stadium construction works are on the final touches.
Artists who are set to perform in the event are too going on with their rehearsals.Wanguru stadium has a capacity of 10,000 people but only 3,000 people will be allowed inside the stadium on the actual celebrations day so as to contain the spread of covid-19.
This stadium is one of the flagship projects of the national government financed by the sports fund and has been under construction for months now.The stadium is set for official opening on the same day as well.
It will be one of the best stadiums in the Mt Kenya region and will host both local and international sporting activities.Do you think the remaining works at the stadium will end before 20th October?
