REVEALED: Why Sterling Left Qatar Missing England 3-0 Win Against Senegal.

The England forward Raheem Sterling missed the England clash with Africa Champions on Sunday night after he travelled back to his London home after receiving bad news.

The former Manchester City forward and the Chelsea striker left England camp in Qatar after he was informed that armed robbers broke into his home while the family was in.

Sterling's return is still not known not even by the England coach, Southgate. Speaking about Sterling's departure after England managed to floor Senegal 3-0 qualifying for the quarter finals where they will meet the World Cup defending champions, France, Southgate said he is not sure about Sterling return ahead of the clash.

"We've got to wait and see. At the moment, clearly the priority is for him to be with his family. We're going to support that, and leave him to have as much time as he needs."

"He's going home. It's a situation that he needs time with his family to deal with, and I don't want to put him under any pressure with that. Sometimes football isn't the most important thing, and family should come first," Southgate said.
