Mohammed Elneny
Arsenal's Mohammed Elneny has urged the fans to be more supportive towards the players especially during the lowest times. He pointed out that the burden of being second best in a match weighs a heavy burden to the players and when fans criticize players for being below average, it becomes even more unbearable and as a consequence messes with the players psychologically. He nonetheless said that as players, they need criticism inorder to push them beyond their limit and that is understandable but when the critics go overboard, it is never healthy to the player(s).
Arsenal fans have a reputation of being very critical about how their team play and how the team is run. Mikel Arteta and a few other players have been subjected to threats relating to their families and their lives but that has not deterred the manager and the players for fighting for what they want.
Thomas Partey
Arsenal's Thomas Partey is expected to return before the final game of the season against Everton after the medical team revealed that the Ghanian is still in the initial stages of his intensive training sessions. This means that the Ghanian will be absent in the match against Tottenham on Thursday at the White Hart Lane. Mikel Arteta is well aware of this injury situation and has entrusted Mohammed to stand in for his injured teammate.
Those around Partey have attested to 27 year old's desire to return back as soon as possible and help Arsenal achieve their top four target. If Arsenal lose to Tottenham on Thursday, they will still have a chance of finishing in the top four only if they ensure that they win all their remaining matches. Mohammed Elneny has done a very magnificent job at the moment and although Arsenal have not kept a cleansheet with him in the past four games, he has ensured that Arsenal concede at a minimum.
Rob Holding
Arsenal are most likely to play a virtual back three against Tottenham on Thursday. Ben White is in contention to start Thursday's match and will most likely be deployed to the right back position while Takehiro Tomiyasu will be deployed to the left back position where he did a marvelous job against Leeds United. Rob Holding will play as the center back partner to Gabriel Magalhaes.
