Dandora Stadium Set To Be Opened Soon

With more than a year of abandonment, Dandora Stadium management team have expressed their desire to open the stadium even before its works at the stadium began in mid 2018 and ran for a year before the contractor was forced to stop progression of the works at the stadium due to corruption allegations tied with the site.

The stadium was coming up at a cost of Ksh 270 million and was set to be the first stadium in East Africa to have digital advertising boards. The contractor was accused of using steel instead of concrete in the construction of terraces as it was indicated in its plan.

In April, President Uhuru Kenyatta visited the area and called for immediate completion of the stadium but still nothing has been going on at the site.Dandora residents have been patient enough on this matter as the stadium served over 30 local clubs in the area with most of the club members been youths who have now turned to crime due to idleness.

Do you think the stadium's management should go on in opening the stadium while in its current state? Feel free to share your views on the comment section and remember to share and follow for more news.
