The 2022/23 EPL season starts today 5th August 2022 with a tough battle involving Arsenal FC and Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park After which six matches will rolled down on Saturday. The remaining match week fixtures will be played on Sunday.
Saturday fixtures
Liverpool open the new Premier League season Saturday against newly promoted Fulham hoping to use the disappointment of finishing second last term as a platform for going one better.
The previous Premier League fixture between the teams saw Fulham emerge victorious 1-0 at Anfield in March 2021. Mario Lemina scored the Cottagers' lone goal in the 45th minute.
Aleksandar Mitrovic caught the eye for Fulham in last season's Championship with 43 goals, leading all of the league's top scorers.
In the previous Premier League campaign, Liverpool were led by Mohamed Salah with 23 goals, atop all of the league's scoring leaders.
Southampton are set to begin their long battle with a clash against Tottenham Hotspur at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as a new season begins.
Southampton won the last Premier League meeting between the teams, emerging victorious 3-2 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last season. Armando Broja opened the scoring for Saints in the 23rd minute. Mohamed Elyounoussi and Che Adams also were on the scoresheet. Son Heung-Min scored in the 70th minute for Spurs
In another match, Everton will host Chelsea FC at Goodison Park, when the two sides last met in Premier League action, Everton came out on top 1-0 at Goodison Park last season. Richarlison scored the lone goal for the Toffees in the 46th minute.
Sunday Fixtures
Leicester City will host Brentford FC as Manchester United rub shoulders will Brighton before Wet Ham United closes the day will home fixture against Manchester City.
