The Late Kenya Rugby Sevens Coach was announced dead by family on 22nd May 2021 in Nairobi.
Among the leaders who joined family and friends during the burial of the Late Rugbly legend was the Wiper party Leader Hon Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka.
Kalonzo has mourned Ayimba as a legend whose legacy for the world trophy and mentorship growth of rugby in Kenya will be remembered.
While mourning Ayimba, Kalonzo recommended Team Kenya players to be accorded Government employment status under the Ministry of Sports
"Benjamin Ayimba played his part and he finished the race well.A world trophy and mentorship growth of Rugby in Kenya will pin onto his great legacy.Team Kenya players should be accorded Government employment status under the Ministry of Sports.RIP Benja," Kalonzo said.
