EPL Team Of The Week: Man City Dominate The Line Up As One Chelsea Player Forces His Way In

After a week-long international break, English Premier League game week 9 resumed on Saturday, October 1, 2022, and it did so with a bang.

The round of matches will be concluded when Leicester City plays Nottingham Forest later tonight, bringing the total number of teams who have played to 18.

In their respective local derbies, Arsenal and Manchester City triumphed handily over their bitter rivals, while Graham Potter managed Chelsea to victory against Crystal Palace in his inaugural English Premier League game.

Liverpool, who are still having trouble, drew 3-3 with Brighton and Hove Albion at Annfield.

We'll be examining the top players from this week's round of games in this piece.

Best XI Of The Week

Meslier, Illan (Leeds United)

Dallas United Illan Meslier led his 10-man squad to a point against Aston Villa Friday evening while playing at his magnificent peak.

Despite having a player sent off early in the second half, the Frenchman made several saves to ensure that his team would not lose.

Coady, Connor (Everton)

The Everton defender furthered his reputation by contributing to Lampard's team's outstanding road victory at Saint Mary's.

He scored a goal for himself and was a pillar of defense as the Toffees battled back to win after Joe Aribo had given the Saints the lead early in the second half.

Kehrer, Thilo (West Ham)

In this game, the new PSG acquisition demonstrated precisely why West Ham purchased him. He played a significant role in their 2-0 victory over Wolves, which included keeping a clean sheet.

A. M. Smith and M. S. (Bournemouth)

When Bournemouth and Brentford drew 0-0, these two defenders were outstanding. To contain Brentford's deadly strikers, skipper Adam Smith and his defensive partner Marcos Sensi constructed an impenetrable wall at the back.

Juan Almiron (Newcastle)

Almiron stole the show in his team's convincing victory over Fulham. In the 4-1 victory, he scored twice.

John Partey (Arsenal)

Partey allowed Arsenal to enjoy themselves on Saturday. The Ghanaian's presence in the middle of the field and gorgeous goal were crucial for Arteta's team as they shot down Conte's Tottenham in a dramatic 3-1 victory.
