AFCON: Huge Amount of Money Promised to Malawian National Football Team If They Beat Senegal Today

President of the Republic of Malawi, Lazarus Chakwera has promised the Malawian National Football team currently in Cameroon participating in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), a fat cheque of money suppose they register positive results when they play Sadio Mane’s Senegal today in the evening.

The Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations began in the 9th of January in Younde, the capital of Cameroon and is set to end after one month.

Malawi being the underdogs in the competition have been offered sweet rewards, a sum of Ksh 138k for the players who will feature during the 90 minutes of the game, and those warming the bench will be slapped with Ksh 70k each, that is if they proceed to the round of 16 stage.

“If Flames get a desired result against Senegal today and proceed to round of 16, I pledge K1 million to each of the featured players and K500,000 each to those that will be on the bench. I wish them all the best and let us all rally behind them,” he stated.
