Chelsea: Lewandowski Close to Exit, Perisic Close to Signing, Lukaku's Redemption

Ivan Perisic

Reliable sources have hinted that Chelsea are on the verge of completing a permanent transfer of Ivan Perisic whose contract with Inter Milan expires in the summer. The Croatian winger is nonetheless still in talks with Inter Milan over a new contract but things are not going so well at the moment and that is why Chelsea are confident that they will land the winger in the summer. Chelsea in the advent of preparing for Perisic's high profile transfer, will begin hearing offers for Hakim Ziyech who is widely admired in Italy.

Perisic is believed to be very interested in joining Chelsea but since he is not sure where he lies in the plans of Thomas Tuchel next season, he still has some doubts about jumping ships. At Inter Milan on the hand, he recently helped them win the Coppa Italia after 11 year and that has clearly given him more incentive to want to extend his contract.

Robert Lewandowski

Bayern Munich are close to releasing Robert Lewandowski in the summer after the Polish striker told his agent to delay talks with the German giants as he decides about his future. Barcelona are keeping a close eye on the 32 year old and are confident that they will be able to sign him in the summer by triggering his €30 Million release clause. Xavi Hernandez has left little to imagination about his desire to have the marquee striker at the club and he believes that Lewandowski is what Barcelona need to get to the next level.

Chelsea too have been linked with a move for the prolific striker but are currently playing low because the plan to sign Lewandowski was initially Roman Abramovich's idea. Lewandowski might chose the Premier League over La Liga if Chelsea play their cards right.

Romelu Lukaku

Romelu Lukaku is definitely going to be a key player in today's match and fans are hoping that he scores a goal or two to redeem himself. Last time out, he scored two goals against Wolves which were unfortunately cancelled by goals from Trincao and Conor Coady to only earn Chelsea a point.
