Cristiano Ronaldo has hit back at Wayne Rooney, a former Manchester United teammate, after the Englishman said he didn't like him on Monday.
Rooney didn't like what the Portuguese did for the Red Devils when they drew 1-1 with Leicester City at the weekend. Cristiano didn't handle it well, either.
When he was on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football, Rooney asked for Cristiano Ronaldo and Paul Pogba to be sent away from Manchester United this summer. He also said that signing the No. 7 last summer was not good for the team.
It's hard to say that Wayne Rooney's return to Manchester United has worked out for the club. "You'd have to say no."
"If you look two or three years down the road, I think you should go with younger, more hungry players to help Manchester United."
At 20, he was a great player, but now he isn't. Those things happen, too. A goal threat: I think the rest of the team needs more.
"They're looking for young, driven men." They have a lot of good players, I think. There are a lot of good things I think will happen for Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford next season.
Rooney then posted a picture of himself, Jamie Carragher, and host David Jones on Instagram, and Cristiano Ronaldo was quick to respond. Rooney was happy to be on the show, and Carragher was happy to see him.
Cristiano wrote, "Two jealous." Rooney and Carragher were the two people he talked about.
