Michael Olunga Speaks Of His Limited Time In Qatar And Mentions Kenya Player With A Bright Future

Time is the measure of the quality of professional footballers. Al Duhail striker Michael Olunga is not exceptional.

The 27 year old won the Japanese J1 Golden Boot with his former team Kashiwa Reysol. Currently, he has managed 3 goals in 6 appearances for Al Duhail in the Qatar top league. With 3 matches remaining to end the season, his side stands at the 2nd position of the league table with 40 points, 11 points the leaders Al Sadd.

Speaking to Goal, Olunga said that he has had a limited time with the club. He needs time to adapt to Qatar games and his team mates aiming to have a fresh start and break records next season.

"Al Duhail is a good team and am happy to play for them. What remains is to work hard and represent Kenya and hope that I will get many goals that can help me break as many records as possible."

In addition, Olunga complimented Abdallah Hassan for his remarkable performance at Harambee Stars even though Kenya failed to secure their place for AFCON. Hassan scored 3 goals for his national team in their last 3 matches.

"He is a good player and looking at his performance in the Premier League shows how he has been impressive. He has also been playing almost all the games for Bandari."

Both Michael Olunga and Abdallah Hassan are making phenomenal performances in their respective league teams. Working extra hard to score goals is a matter of great importance.
