Its only a month remaining before the start of the 2021/2022 UEFA Champions League season. Teams that qualified for the competition are doing preparations before it starts. These are the four goalkeepers that could lead with most clean sheets in Champions League.
1. Gianluigi Donnarumma - Having joined Paris Saint Germain he is likely to keep most clean sheets given the good defence of the club. His good performance in the Euro 2020 was an indication that he is going to perform well in the new season.
2. Edouardo Mendy - He led as the goalkeeper with most cleansheets in the UEFA Champions League last season with nine clean sheets. The Chelsea goalkeeper will try his best to retain his lead in the new season.
3. Ederson - He was the second goalkeeper with most clean sheets in the UEFA Champions League 2020/2021 season with 7 clean sheets. Being in a good performing club like Manchester City, he is likely to try his best to lead in the new season.
4. Alisson Becker - Despite the 2020/2021 season not being one of his best seasons, the Liverpool goalkeeper kept 5 clean sheets in the Champions League. The new season may be one of his best season given the fact that most of their injured players have recovered.
