3 Harambee Stars Prospect's Raises Kenyan FLag High in MLS SuperDraft

Philip Mayaka, Nabila Kibunguchy and Leroy Enzugusi are Kenyan born footballers who have joined MLS teams ahead of the new season.

The three were among the 86 selected across the United States college football program and Canada.

The selection happens yearly for the best students soccer wise across America and Canada, strictly for college graduates.

Philip Mayaka, a sensation in midfield was selected for Colorado Rapids, Nabila Kibunguchy heads to Minnesota United for defence services while Leroy Enzugusi was picked by Nashville SC as a defender.

The three are going to join national team captain Victor Wanyama who plies his trade for Montreal Impact.

The three players trace their roots back to Kenya and that means they are eligible to play for Harambee Stars.

Their average age of 23 years, is evidence of a new generation of players coming to gel with regulars at national team and improve one another.

The news of the were shared by a renowned sports journalist, Jeff Kinyanjui.

With 2022 World Cup qualifiers and AFCON 2023 preliminary rounds coming fast in March and June, we remain to watch if the Head Coach of National team will consider them.
