Kenya has been producing a variety pf talents when in comws to athletics and now there comes other inspiring talents with football being embraced anew every day. And majority of the talented players are from the western part of Kenya.
There's a school which has been in many mouths due to its prowess when it comes to football. The school has Been in national soccer for quite a long time and now their former players are succeeding in the sector, either locally or internationally. The famous school is Kakamega high school.
They have produced various players that have been recently called up to the national team ahead of the AFCON qualifiers against Egypt and Togo. The 6 players are formerly of Kakamega highschool well known as the Green Commandos.
The first player is Brian Bwire who is only 20 years of age and already Kariobangi sharks first choice Goalkeeper. He has previously been called up to the Harambee stars squad and is yet to play in the international matches
Collins Shichenje is a defensive midfielder who turns out for Afc leopards has been in great form. He became an instant first team player when he signed for Ingwe in 2019 in what was his first deal from National Super League side Green Commandos.
Michael mutinda is a KCB football club player who has been called up by Ghost Mulee to the national team. He is a 25 year old midfielder who previously played for thika united and has been performing well for a long the Kenyan Premier League side.
James Mazembe is a 21 year old Kariobangi sharks player who is such a great talented and already featured for harambee stars under 23 cup of nations qualifers and he scored 2 goals. He is a modern day fullback. He won the MVP in the High school games after leading Kakamega high school to the finals in 2017.
Henry Meja is a teenager who recently won Tusker player of the month of January after he scored four goals and added one assist. The former Kakamega highschool boy is now ready to feature for the national team when called upon.
Bonfas Onyango kajos plays as a left back for Kenyan premier League side, Kariobangi sharks. The player was in great form that he impressed the Harambee Stars tactician.
