There are a number of fantastic goalkeepers in the premier league this season. Some have been standing out in terms of keeping clean sheets while others are notable for making saves. Below is the ranking of the goalkeepers in terms of save rate per game.
Illan Meslier of Leeds lead the pack with 3.8 saves per match. He is ranking highly maybe because the team faces a lot of shots. This is due to their poor defense.
David De Gea of Man United is second with 3.7 saves per match. He has been top class in a poor Man United side. The side has also faced a number of shots thus exposing him.
David Raya of Brentford is third with 3.6 saves per match while Jose Sa of Wolves is fourth with 3.5 saves per match. He has been fantastic and has one of the fewest concession rate in the premier league. He has a strong defensive set up before him also.
Aaron Ramsdale of Arsenal comes at position nine with 3.0 saves, and that’s how the top ten looks like. Ederson is the last with 1.8 saves per match followed by Allison at 2.1 saves. Edouard Mendy is seventeenth with 2.5 saves.
