In this January transfer window, Arsenal opened exit doors to Ainsley Maitland Niles, Pablo Mari, Balogun and Sead Kolasinac. Niles joined AS Roma on loan while Balogun as well as Pablo Mari both joined Middlesbrough and Udinese respectively. On the other side, Sead Kolasinac had his contract terminated with the London club to finally join Marseille. Who is the next player to leave?
According to the Football London reports, the Gunners are willing to offload their former number one Goalkeeper Bernd Leno and Newcastle United are leading the race to signing Leno as they look forward to escaping relegation. Since he got replaced by Aaron Ramsdale, Leno has rarely gotten sufficient game time and may be tempted to look for other clubs where he can best be considered a regular player.
Arguably, this can be the reason why Arsenal are currently linked with the £5m Goalkeeper Matt Turner who is most likely to be Ramsdale's backup till the end of the season should Newcastle United finalize their move to Leno in the next few days remaining before the transfer window shuts. Will you like to realse Leno this January?
